So, it’s new year’s eve! I can’t believe 2010 is already upon us. Some are ready for the change, some aren’t, and some just want to party!

I am super grateful to have had a great 2009. I am getting older and my time is passing faster, but I am making the most of it. Funny how I never thought that would be! I hope for those who had struggles in 2009 that 2010 will bring change and happiness.  And to everyone I wish you a happy and healthy new year!

I started looking at the NYE celebrations that have already happened “today” and it made me realize how big the world is!  I always think of life in my time zone and never reflect on how awesome it is that there are millions of other lives going on a moment before or after mine.   When I get rich I would love to plan trips to NYE events all around the world year after year.  I have been in Japan for NYE but would love to go back; also, Australia, somewhere in England, New York, and Paris would be great places to visit!  Aaahh, a girl can dream, right?

I just visited the SATC2 movie site and left with a huge cheese!  Could Carrie be any more fabulous?!  The answer is no!  I am so excited after watching the trailer!  It is sparkly and fabulous!

I think there is a saying that crazy people don’t wonder if they’re crazy, so maybe I’m okay to like this show; but, what part of my brain draws me to a series like this? 

It is the only series I follow that isn’t reality.  I think it’s a great show, and is smart.  But it’s about a serial killer…

I think that viewers can open their heart for Dexter and his family because he is a serial killer who kills serial killers to protect and revenge for good.  But the plot and deranged things Dexter does are eerie.  Dexter’s brother was also a killer, but a bad killer LOL – this blog is about as deranged as the show since I am defending a serial killer, kind of.

This brings me to the movie, Brothers.  I have not seen it yet, but hope to see it this weekend.  When I saw the preview I said to my man friend, “Ooh, this looks Really. Fuked. Up.  We gotta go see it.”  Uuh, who says shit like that?!  Haaha, some deranged soul  

Anywho, let me know if you’ve seen Dexter or Brothers and what you think.  And, if you’re a doctor, let me know if I have problems

These…fishes roam aimlessly through life, partying all day and night, never thinking about others. They know that they can lean on me and I will always do what I can for them. It is my fault that I am a tiny bit peeved today.

Why do I let them take advantage of me sometimes? I know the answer is that I really care for them and want them to enjoy life – but at what cost to my sanity?

So, against my better judgement, I picked them up after a plea for help and offered my home to stay in. I went so far as to get multicolored room decorations. I thought a nice home would motivate them to take care of themselves.

I was wrong. Almost daily I find the decorations I bought uprooted and thrown around the room. This makes me sad because I try to make things nice and they are just ruthless.

Haahaha, some just cannot be helped. I guess I will keep arranging the plants for the fish out of love…even though they will just uproot them again tomorrow.

Yes, I know this may not be ideal but my budget is strict for NYC.  I really wanted new dye but have been saving specifically for the new Jimmy Choo line at H&M.   So, “what the hay?” I said. “If it turns out bad I can always go one color immediately after seeing the horror.” So I did the deed.

And ya know what? It turned out DAMN GOOD! I think I may do this more often.

And ya know how much it cost me? NADA! Hehe I had two old, grimy boxes of dye in this cosmetics grave yard I keep. Oooh yea! I am miraculous!

I have been getting blonde highlights on my dark brown hair as long as I can remember. I have never been one to keep up on my dye job… I think dye jobs should be fun and are sporadic for me.

I am happy it turned out as I imagined. My hair is shiny and new and my money is still in the bank. What a deal!

I just helped my man friend do his ethics paper so I think I will apply some ethical analysis to this problem.

#1. Identify the central ethical issue

-Is it right for the gods to put me in a funk when I did not ask to be in one?

#2. Research

-According to Google Search, the definition of funk is, “a state of nervous depression.”

#3. Analysis

-The option for resolution is to fall out of the funk by chance. I have never heard of someone truly working though a funk – it just happens. The funk is not fatal but it creates an itch of unhumanness – Like when Andy from The Office was cut off by Pam while singing suite numbers and it created an OCD monster inside him haahahahah! My funk is not that bad. Yet.

#4. Application

-Since I have just deducted that a funk must pass in time, I will just sit back and wait a week til it’s over

Also, I am going to be on a road trip in an hour. Our first stop is a bar 650 miles away. I’m thinkin a little whiskey, maybe a dirty martini, a beer, a shot, maybe 2 shots, maybe a zima, and a glass of wine will heal my soul. I’ll let you know if it works ;0)

 “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” for some.  I do not feel closer to God while cleaning the house screaming obscenities in my head about cleaning up after people.  But, that might just be me.

I live for handbags like Carrie Bradshaw does.  I know I have more invested than I should in those material goods; those fabulous, rich, and gorgeous goods. 

While these sites cause feelings of happiness, joy, and excitement, they also cause feelings of sadness, disappointment, and loneliness when I cannot afford to purchase items (haha, yes, I really do feel lonely).  In my tiny, low voice:  I often add them to cart then abandon ship!  Gasp!  The horror   I’m so ashamed

My friend, who has the same problem, was told that the simple cure is to unsubscribe from the e-mails; but, that is no option for a junkie.  And no fun for that matter!  It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, right?

There is something to be said for pleasure that comes from pain…
